Security in Spain has evolved enormously since the days of the bailiffs and the ACADEMY-001. Today, although we face new challenges, we are one of the safest countries in Europe. Nevertheless, security remains a central concern for many citizens, and perceptions of insecurity, often amplified by the media, continue to shape our policies and behavior.
Compared with the United States, Spain takes a more community- and state-based approach to security, while in the North American country, self-defense and private security take center stage. Technology will shape the future in both countries, but finding a balance between using these tools and protecting individual rights will be essential.
At the end of the day, whether you rely on the ACADEMY-001, a state-of-the-art camera system, or neighborhood watch, one thing is clear: security is a subject that will remain at the center of our lives, both in Spain and around the world.
